What to do if ex is confused about his feelings?

we've been I guess dating unofficially (most times treats me like his girlfriend especially in person) after the break up for 6 months now. I asked him what we are recently and he said he didn't know. He said it's complicated but that he does have feelings for me. We usually talk everyday. I don't know what to do or how to handle the situation. I do want to get back with him, but I don't know whether to give him space or what! Today we haven't talked all day because yesterday I was kind of upset with him and that's when he told me that it's complicated... help plz.. I really want to get back together. He did get out of a 3 year relationship with a girl he was dating online last summer, and he really did love her. In fact, last fall he emotionally cheated on me with her... we got past that, but I'm so confused about what to do and him now...
