So I'm a little confused about this guy. Help? :/?

So we have been like unofficially dating for the last four months or so. We hung out, texted practically all the time. But recently we started to fight a lot and I told him I didn't want to talk to him anymore. He listened and we went like a week without talking..but I started to miss him so I texted him Saturday night at about midnight and we texted till 4 in the morning about how he was in Houston for some science thing. Then we talked some on Sunday. He didn't text me Sunday night or on Monday. But then last night he just texted me saying "sorry i was in houston haha" and i responded "lol its ok" and he never said anything..I don't even know what he was apologizing for..so the real question here is, do you think he still wants to like talk? and maybe we could work things out? or should I just forget it..
