How to kill cicadas... HELP!!! Please. =)?

I read that Hornet Killer will kill them. Is there anyway I can spray it on the ground where they like to land and kill them that way? Or can I spray it on something for them to land on? Or does it have to be a direct hit? I need to get rid of them! Thanks. =)
